  18.      Before reading all details, note that a single-user registration
  19.      costs only $15 and includes includes 2 years of free updates,
  20.      exclusive of shipping and handling.  I believe this is an
  21.      exceptional bargain, but it only works because of your honesty.

  29.      Definition of Shareware. . .

  31.      Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before
  32.      buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you
  33.      are expected to register. Individual programs differ on details --
  34.      some request registration while others require it, some specify a
  35.      maximum trial period. With registration, you get anything from the
  36.      simple right to continue using the software to an updated program
  37.      with printed manual.

  39.      Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software, and
  40.      the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  41.      exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  42.      programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are of
  43.      comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs and bad
  44.      ones!) The main difference is in the method of distribution.  The
  45.      author specifically grants the right to copy and distribute the
  46.      software, either to all and sundry or to a specific group. For
  47.      example, some authors require written permission before a commercial
  48.      disk vendor may copy their Shareware.

  50.      Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
  51.      should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether
  52.      it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes fitting
  53.      your needs easier, because you can try before you buy. And because
  54.      the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware has the ultimate
  55.      money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the product, you don't pay
  56.      for it.

  61.      supplied as-is.  The author disclaims all warranties, expressed or
  62.      implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of
  63.      merchantability and of fitness for any purpose. The author assumes
  64.      no liability for damages, direct or consequential, which may result
  65.      from the use of FFG.

  67.      FFG is a copyrighted Shareware program by Thomas G. Vavoso,
  68.      President, EnGamma.  The evaluation version of FFG is offered at no
  69.      charge to any potential user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it
  70.      with your friends and associates, but please do not give it away
  71.      altered or as part of another system.  The essence of
  72.      "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer users with
  73.      quality software without high prices, and yet to provide incentive
  74.      for programmers to continue to develop new products.

  76.      If you find this program useful and find that you are using FFG
  77.      after a 60-day trial period, you must make a registration payment of
  78.      $15. Checks may be made payable to "Thomas G. Vavoso".  If you
  79.      include the shipping/processing fee (see below), you will be sent a
  80.      registered copy of the latest version of FFG when available. You are
  81.      entitled to have as many copies of it as you wish (for example, one
  82.      on each computer you use at home and work, plus one for your
  83.      briefcase for troubleshooting someone else's system), with the
  84.      understanding that these are for YOUR personal use and demonstration
  85.      to others. Please recognize that this is a CONSIDERABLY relaxed
  86.      condition on copying and usage than some authors specify.  It is
  87.      done for YOUR convenience.

  89.      Registration also entitles you to an automatic license extention to
  90.      all subsequent releases of the DOS command line version of FFG
  91.      during the two-years immediately following your registration.
  92.      That's right--the $15 fee includes a two-year "maintenance" plan
  93.      that entitles you to the latest release of the product upon request.
  94.      The only cost you incur for updates within the two year period is
  95.      for any shipping/handling distribution costs, which should be
  96.      minimal if done electronically.  Registration also entitles you to
  97.      user support by mail.  See the file REGISTER.FRM for the
  98.      registration form.

  100.      Prospective commercial users of FFG may contact the author to
  101.      arrange for site and/or network licenses.

  103.      Distributors and BBS sysops recognized by the Association of
  104.      Shareware Professionals (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  105.      shareware distributors may begin offering FFG in their catalogs/BBS
  106.      services immediately.  Other distributors whose only remuneration is
  107.      a nominal fee for the disk itself, and whose literature makes it
  108.      clear to their buyers that the program material must be separately
  109.      purchased from the author, may also offer FFG immediately, but
  110.      should inform me so that I can provide them periodic updates.
  111.      Distributors who wish to sell FFG packaged as, or in, a retail
  112.      product must contact me, and are not authorized to distribute this
  113.      version of FFG.
